The RA Centre has the only dedicated badminton facility in the region and its six courts are considered by many to be the best in North America. The on-court activities are supervised by Badminton Professional Mike Bitten who competed for Canada in the 1992 Olympic Games and who is a past Commonwealth Games silver medalist. Young or old, competitive or recreational, all players have a place at the RA Club.

Activities include daytime play, family play, tournaments, a doubles ladder, intermediate and advanced nights, clinics, private, semi-private, and group lessons, socials and special nights for novices and newcomers. The Badminton Club also boasts one of the top junior programs in Canada. Membership Categories for ADULTS

ADULT Membership
Mid- Season Fee: $320 for RA Members
Membership valid until August 31, 2012

STUDENT Membership
Mid- Season Fee: $264 for RA Members

Must be a full-time student between the ages of 18 and 25 (student card required). Student members have the same playing privileges as Adult members.

MORNING Membership
Mid- Season Fee: $192 for RA Members

ADULT WEEKEND Membership

Weekend members have access Fridays after 6pm and Saturdays and Sundays. It should be noted that play may be interrupted several weekends per year for tournaments and other events. These will be posted in advance.

JUNIOR WEEKEND Membership - Ages 7- 17
Fee: $345 for RA Members

Coaching: Sat., Sept. 17 to early-April

The price of membership includes one hour of coaching every Saturday. Coaching starts September 17, 2011 and continues until early-April 2012. From mid-April to the end of August there is free play.

The price of membership includes a structured coaching program from September 19, 2011 until early-April 2012 on Monday and Wednesday between 4:40pm and 5:40pm (free play until 6:00pm) as well as free-play on Fridays from 3:40pm to 6:00pm. From mid-April to the end of August there is free play.
